The two numbers measure different things. IBPAP counts IT and business process management, contact centres included. Nasscom counts IT services, BPM, engineering R&D, software products and hardware. Neither isolates SEO or digital marketing, so neither tells you how many SEO specialists each country has.

The Philippine days come from Proclamation No. 1006, signed September 3, 2025, plus two later ones for the Islamic feasts. Proclamation No. 1189 set Eid'l Fitr on March 20, and Proclamation No. 1264 set Eid'l Adha on May 27.

India's figure comes from the Department of Personnel and Training's Office Memorandum of July 3, 2025. It binds central government offices in Delhi. Central offices in other states observe 14 compulsory holidays plus three picked by state committees, and private employers set their own calendars.
